Priority markets

These are the markets where MelBet has the deepest local integration — dedicated payment rails, the widest coverage of domestic competitions, and in several cases a locally issued licence rather than just the international Curacao permission.

Established markets

Well-served territories with working local payment methods and full sportsbook coverage.

What each country guide contains

Every market gets the same twelve pages, written around that country's currency, payment methods and domestic competitions rather than translated from a single template:

Overview

Licence, platform structure, what the site offers and how it behaves from that market.

Identifier types, password recovery, two-factor security, mirror access when the site is unreachable.

Registration

Four sign-up methods, where promo code 8G8G goes, currency selection and verification.

Mobile app

Android 45 MB and iOS 46.9 MB, version 2.6.3, install steps and device compatibility.

APK

Direct Android file, the unknown-sources permission, verifying the download and off-store updates.

iOS

App Store install, the storefront workaround, supported devices and the Safari web-app alternative.

Bonus

100% first-deposit match, 5x accumulator wagering explained with worked examples, plus ongoing offers.

Promo code

Where the field hides, what 8G8G unlocks and why it cannot be applied retroactively.

Deposit

Local rails, cards, e-wallets and 40+ crypto tokens with real minimums and speeds.

Withdrawal

Minimums, verification, the method-matching rule and why payouts get held.

Sports betting

33 disciplines, up to 700 markets, LIVE behaviour, bet types and esports.

Support

24/7 channels, what to prepare before contacting them and realistic response times.

Why the guides differ by country

A betting platform is not the same product everywhere. The account currency decides which payment buttons appear in the cashier, what the minimum deposit translates to, and how fast money moves in each direction. A Bangladeshi player needs bKash and Nagad timings in taka. A Nigerian player needs OPay and PalmPay in naira. A Brazilian player needs Pix in reais. Handing all three the same generic paragraph about "cards and e-wallets" helps none of them.

The same applies to the sportsbook. Domestic competitions carry the deepest market coverage locally, so a guide that only discusses European football misses what most of the volume in that market is actually placed on.

Rules that hold everywhere

Some things do not change by market. MelBet has operated since 2012 under an international Curacao licence. The welcome offer is a 100% first-deposit match released through accumulator bets of three or more selections at odds of 1.40 or higher, wagered five times, within 30 days. Withdrawals must return to the deposit method, and split deposits produce proportionally split payouts. Support runs 24/7 and the interface exists in 55 languages.

Promo code 8G8G works identically in every market: it belongs in the registration form, before you submit, and cannot be attached afterwards.

About the operator

MelBet launched in 2012 and has grown into a genuinely multi-market operator. The platform runs a sportsbook covering 33 disciplines, a casino with over a thousand titles including roughly 700 slots, live dealer tables, a lottery section and one of the deeper esports offerings among international bookmakers. The interface exists in 55 language versions and around 400,000 people use it across all markets.

Licensing works on two levels. The international permission is a Curacao eGaming licence held through the operating company, and that is what allows partnerships with regulated game studios — NetEnt, Microgaming, Yggdrasil, Amatic, NextGen, Quickspin and Pragmatic Play among them. On top of that, several African markets carry locally issued licences: Nigeria through the National Lottery Regulatory Commission and the Lagos State authority, Ghana through the Gaming Commission, and Uganda through the National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board.

The practical difference matters. In locally licensed markets you get tailored payment integration, local-currency bonuses and a domestic dispute route. Elsewhere the service runs on the international licence, which works fine but means escalation goes through the operator and then Curacao rather than a regulator in your own country.

The payment picture across markets

Payment support is where the difference between markets is most visible. Across the platform there are more than 80 methods including some 40 cryptocurrency tokens, but what appears in your cashier depends entirely on your account currency.

In West Africa the cashier is built around mobile money and payment gateways — OPay, PalmPay, Paystack and Flutterwave in Nigeria, MTN Mobile Money and Vodafone Cash in Ghana. East Africa runs on M-Pesa and Airtel Money. South Asia is dominated by local wallets: bKash, Nagad and Rocket in Bangladesh, UPI and PhonePe in India, JazzCash and Easypaisa in Pakistan. The Middle East leans on Zain Cash and regional card schemes. Latin America uses Pix in Brazil and Mercado Pago in Argentina.

Cryptocurrency is the one rail that behaves identically everywhere. Those deposits do not care which country the account was registered in, which is why the crypto section reads much the same across guides while the local-rail sections are rewritten market by market.

Choosing the right market page

Pick the country your account will actually be registered in, not where you happen to be travelling. The account currency, the payment methods offered in the cashier and the verification requirements all follow the registration country. That is the guide whose numbers will match what you see on screen.

This matters more than it sounds. Currency cannot be changed after registration, and local payment rails only work against the matching currency. A player who selects USD instead of their local currency loses access to the fastest deposit and withdrawal options permanently, and the only remedy is a new account — which the one-account-per-person rule does not permit.

What to read first

If you are starting from nothing, the order that wastes least time is registration, then the app page for your device, then deposits, then the bonus terms. People usually do it backwards: they read the bonus page, register in a hurry without entering the promo code, and only then discover the offer cannot be attached retroactively.

If you already have an account and hit a specific problem, go straight to the page that names it. Payout not arriving? The withdrawal page covers the method-matching rule and the proportional split that catches most people. Cannot sign in after reinstalling? The login page covers session resets and recovery. App refusing to install? The APK page covers the unknown-sources permission and the Android 6.0 minimum.

How the welcome bonus actually works

The headline is a 100% match on your first deposit, and that part is simple. The conditions attached are where people get caught, so they are worth stating plainly once.

Bonus money credits to a separate balance, not your main one. To move it across you must place accumulator bets totalling five times the bonus value. Every qualifying accumulator needs at least three selections, and at least three of those must be priced at odds of 1.40 or higher. You have 30 days from when the bonus credits.

Singles do not count. Two-selection doubles do not count. A treble where one leg sits at 1.30 does not count. This single set of rules is responsible for the overwhelming majority of forfeited welcome bonuses, and none of it is hidden — it is simply skipped by people who read the headline percentage and stop there.

Turnover counts whether the bet wins or loses, which makes the requirement far lighter than it first appears. A winning accumulator returns your stake and simultaneously counts toward the target, so the same money recycles through multiple qualifying bets. A run of modest three-folds at around 1.50 per leg clears the requirement comfortably inside the window without demanding large individual stakes.

One more thing: requesting a withdrawal while wagering is incomplete voids whatever bonus remains. Either commit to clearing it, or decline the offer and keep your funds fully liquid. Both are reasonable choices. Treating bonus money as spendable while it is still in wagering is not.

Verification, and why to do it early

Before releasing a first withdrawal, MelBet requires identity verification — a form completed with document details plus uploaded photographs. Accepted documents are a passport, a national ID card or a driving licence, and sometimes proof of address issued within the last three months.

Nothing forces you to do this at registration, which is exactly why people postpone it. The result is predictable: they win, request a payout, and only then discover there is a document review standing between them and their money. Verification runs independently of withdrawals, so completing it on day one means your first payout goes straight into the payment queue instead of into a review.

The most common reason verification fails is photograph quality rather than document problems. Photograph the document flat, in daylight, with all four corners visible and no glare across the text. Review typically completes within 24 hours when the images are clear.

Device requirements across all markets

The specifications are identical everywhere. The Android build is version 2.6.3 at around 45 MB, requiring Android 6.0 or newer, distributed as a direct APK because Google Play does not list real-money gambling apps in most of these countries. The iOS build is 46.9 MB and needs iOS 11.0 or later; it installs normally through the App Store where the listing is visible, and requires a storefront switch where it is not.

Both apps carry the full sportsbook, casino and cashier. Neither includes built-in live streaming in the current version. Logging in from the app at least once unlocks promotions that never appear on the desktop site — a detail that applies in every market and that most players miss entirely.

Support is the last constant worth mentioning. Live chat runs 24 hours a day inside the website and inside both apps, backed by email and a telephone hotline. Chat resolves most account and payment questions within minutes, provided you open the conversation with your account ID, the transaction reference, the exact amount and a timestamp. Arriving with those four details turns what would otherwise be a multi-day exchange into a single reply.
